ABOUT

Bassist & Vocalist, available for private lessons and recordings both remote or in person in Nashville, TN.

I started playing electric bass when I was 9 years old. It was an instant, perfect fit for me — I felt like myself with a bass in my hands, and I consider myself extremely lucky to have found an outlet for self-expression so early on. Bass has continued to resonate with me.

One of the joys of my life is using this gift to support and enhance the art my community creates.

ETHOS

My goal in every performance or recording is to tap into that same sense of enchantment and satisfaction I experienced the first time I performed with a bass in my hands. When I am given someone else’s music to play, I take the time to memorize and internalize not only the notes and the groove, but the energy and power that the song must have carried for the writer. I value the relationship between songwriter and musician immensely. I enter that space with intention, open communication, openness to feedback and criticism, and enthusiasm to find a bass part that supports and accents the music in a way the artist or songwriter is happy with.

TRAINING

In 2018 I graduated from Belmont University in Nashville, TN with a Bachelors of Music in Commercial Electric Bass. While in school, I learned to play Upright bass as well. I studied Jazz, Classical, Pop, Country, Motown, R&B, and Rock styles during undergrad. I have performed and recorded in more than 30 different groups in Nashville, booked shows, formed my own bands, got into experimental improvisational music, filmed music videos, planned music release campaigns, and toured full time for the past 2 years.
